Anything you produce is automatically copyright. To protect yourself
you need to *register* your copyright. You make a copy in a suitable
format, fill in an application and pay the fee to the copyright office.
You also should put a copyright notice on every page and every picture
on your site.
Digimarc and similar products allow you to track who is using your
images.

To enforce your copyright is a separate issue. The first step is to
notify the infringer and ask them to stop. This sometimes works.
If they refuse you will need a lawyer. At this point you have to
 consider if the legal costs will be greater than the economic loss.
Most probably they will be.

Make your pictures online small and low resolution so they can't be used
for most purposes.

There are several techniques that make it harder to copy or link to
images from a web site. You need to have access to your web sites
configuration file to make these changes. They are also of limited
effectiveness.
If you are annoyed think about the music and film producers...
