We obviously have different styles, and perhaps different equipment as well.
I would often wait patiently for action in a place where I had to use a very
long lens. Since few people had that kind of patience, I was often pretty
much alone. Since this was before IS and today's higher speed films, I had to
use a tripod to get sharp results. Got many incredible shots that way,
including a national magazine cover.
