If your computer (built in port) is only 1.1 then you will gain a
significant improvement by buying a PCI to USB adapter. It will give
you several 2.0 USB ports to use. Then add a 2.0 universal card reader.
    You should see a large increase in speed over the "Camera to
computer" speed. At least I do.
