It's been a while, but I know you can't see McKinley from the valley since
the Panamint mountains are in the way (with McKinley another 40 or so miles
to the west.) Maybe you can see it from Dante's View, but I just can't
remember - the Panamints are pretty darned high in and of themselves (11,000
ft.).
Regardless, it's a spectacular view in all directions from the east (LV)
side of the valley.
