Ignore them. The recent spate of spam was empty messages with offensive
subject lines. With those gone thanks to filtering, I'm now back to reading
just the threads of interest. I don't waste time even on digicam subjects
that don't interest me, much less "Mel Gibson's father for president!"
I likewise don't waste time on indirect URLs, since I know they are likely to
be junk. All in all, I think it works pretty well.

It's only "censorship" when you impose your will on others. When you only do
it for yourself, it's just choice.
